Walking Safaris – Safari on foot

A Walking Safari is simply walking in a protected area or nation park with an escorted game ranger getting closer to the wildlife on foot. While on our gorilla and wildlife safaris we encourage that at least our visitors get the experience of walking in the wild. Walking safaris should not be confused with nature walks. These particular walking safaris are conducted only in two national parks in Uganda and are usually conducted very early in the morning starting about 7:00am and can go on up to 10:00am noon. They can also start from 4:30pm to about 6:00pm.

Popular Places For Walking Safaris

Lake Mburo national park the most underestimated yet one the most fulfilling parks to visit 2019. We recommend this particular activity in this park. Common residents are the zebra herds, Impala endemic to only this park and elands the biggest shy antelopes, leopards and giraffes. This is one guaranteed walking safari  that would not disappoint.

The feeling you get is that you are in an African Jungle and yes lots of photo moments as you get more information from the knowledgeable ranger guides.

Kidepo valley national park which is the most natural national park. The famous walking safaris are possible but not very common yet they are rewarding with one of the biggest buffalo herds in east Africa or the prides of lions, the animals in this park have less visitors hence more wild and great experience.

A walking safari in summary is yet to be well utilised and sold as a package but as K safaris we like to step out of the crowd, do more daring special activities with you in as our companions not forgetting the safety measures.
