Our Booking Terms & Conditions
K Safaris executes all its inbound and out bound Gorilla tracking Safaris for Uganda and Rwanda basing on its set policies. When booking your holiday or safari, it means that you have agreed to the terms and conditions of the company.
Please note that your booking is accepted upon understanding that you come on holiday entirely on your own decision to make the Safari due to the fact there are certain inherent dangers involved with adventure travel. We assume no responsibility whatsoever for any event we have no control over.
K Safaris will not be held responsible for acts of nature, fire, acts of government or other authorities, wars, civil disturbances, riots, terrorist acts, strikes, thefts, pilferage, epidemics, quarantines, dangers, incidents to water, land and air travel, incidents with wild life and other similar acts or incidents beyond its ability to control especially if not within the program agreed upon by the two parties but will act accordingly to ensure safety of its clients.
Booking and Payment
Please also specify food allergies, ailments and or any special attention cases etc. These will ensure that our arrangements are to your satisfaction.
The person making the booking must understand clearly what is exactly included in the price of the tour and what is not.
Gorilla tracking requires a minimum of 12 weeks advance booking for the permit.
Children under 12 years are not allowed to track chimpanzee and children under 15 years are not allowed to trek Gorillas.
A 50% deposit is required 15 weeks before intended departure to secure necessary bookings and reservations. Balance is to be settled at least 20 days prior to commencement of the tour.
Note100% payment is required to secure the Gorilla and Chimpanzee permits where applicable.
K Safari Cancellation Policy
- 80% refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 61 days and above prior to commencement of a safari.
- 60% refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 61 – 46 days prior to commencement of a safari.
- 40% refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 46 – 31 days prior to commencement of a safari.
- 20% refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 30 – 15 days prior to commencement of a safari.
- 0% refund will be provided if cancellation occurs in writing 14 – 0 days prior to commencement of a safari.
Please note: Refund on all prepaid money will be based on cancellation fees levied by hotels and lodges. Generally there is a 50% charge on cancellation within 30 – 14 days, 75% charge within 14 – 2 days and 100% charge within 48 hours.
We reserve the right to deduct all expenses incurred from money paid.
There will be no refund for Gorilla permits as this is a direct policy from Uganda wildlife Authority and Rwanda Wild Life Authority.
Making a safari in Africa takes you to close contact with wild animals
Attacks by wild animals have never happened and it’s very rare but no visit to the African wilderness can guarantee that this will not occur.
Always follow the safety instructions from your guide or camps staff especially with regards to moving to and from your tent, hotel, Banda, lodge and while on game activities through your trip
We will not be held responsible in case of any incident or injury because most of all hotels, safari camps and lodges are not fenced meaning animals move freely around the lodges.
Most of tour packages are inclusive of Transport in 4wd safari car, fuel, accommodation on a shared basis, all meals, park entrance fees, Boat cruise, Game drive, chimpanzee permits, Gorilla Permits, full time English speaking driver guide ,Ferry crossings where applicable, mineral water and excludes; traveler’s insurance, flights, local departure taxes, visa fees, gratuities, alcoholic beverages, laundry and other personal expenses like tipping.
So we strongly advise you to confirm and understand what is inclusive and not in your paid packages
Change of Itinerary or Accommodation
K Safari always provides confirmed and advance booked holidays but you should be informed that routes and lodges on Safari might be changed as dictated by unavoidable conditions like heavy rains, animal movements from one region to another, airline delays, booking problems as well as other conditional reasons.
A refund will not be considered if a reasonable option is found
